My name is Alan Van Hooser. I am passionate about my growing faith in Jesus. I am a pastor by vocation and feel a great burden to share those parts of life that build faith and remove those things that kill faith. You are invited to join me and share your victories and perhaps, stories of moving past the darker side of faith.

Everything that is posted is to be practical, useable, and reveals God in our daily living. You will find my content, book reviews, general commentary. I have strong opinions and am a news junkie. However, rather than standing against the issues dictated by the media, I wish to stand for the Gospel as an antidote to the prevalent “news-poisoning” of the day.
